Stacy G.- Manhattan, NY- “While trying to figure out what to do during covid for my daughter who was turning 8, I decided on a small group of 8 for a party at our house. I wanted a dj who would make my daughter and her party shine and that’s just what Jojo did. He showed up early and stayed late. He was a hit with the 8 year olds and even the 2 little brothers that came. He brought all of his equipment and did a full set up. He played all the music we requested prior and all requests on the day of.
I highly recommend JoJo if you’re looking for someone to add fun to your party!!”

He is a true Artist using his ability to bring his Spirit and Vibration to every thing he does to Express and Uplift. Mariano’s family from Argentina have been to our Drum & Flow classes in Brooklyn when they’ve visited NYC, and there is never a dull moment when he’s around.

Great to get back to playing out, recording, and meeting new people. Before the show, we enjoyed some sunset sips, and I captured a great “cheers” shot of Navé and RG on the shore rocks of the East River… Beautiful night in New York.
Thanks to Main Drag Music staff for being great hosts and having a fun night of music together. Stop by their new space at 50 South 1st in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for all guitar and keys needs!

Thanks to everyone who bravely dropped their pants for the #NoPantsSubwayRide2018!
Sunnyside Social Club played in the Union Square platform as pants-less dancers boogied to the music. We then marched the party upstairs and out to the street to the afterparty at Bar 13 as the trumpet valves and the accordion player’s fingers began to freeze!
I am especially excited to have had the opportunity to perform with Matt Dallow, accordion-man/multi-instrumentalist, songwriter/performer, entertainer. I met Matt about 15 years ago near our hometowns on Long Island. Matt’s band “Space Robot Scientists” performed regularly at what was called “Saints and Sinners“, where I had my first few DJ gigs spinning underground house and hip-hop on vinyl and CDs, making barely enough money to drink for the night. The memories immediately conjure visions of theremins, strange art exhibits, Jameson, and DJing indoors with a cigarette in NY.
Fast-forward to present day- Matt and I have recently found our paths crossing as performers at Club Cumming, where he has a weekly residency performing Monday evenings. He has also connected me with contacts via Facebook posts looking for musicians to cover gigs, which led to me working with Zachary Clause. I’ve also enjoyed playing in recent gigs in vintage trains and subway platforms with Matt’s band, Sunnyside Social Club. Â
It is inspiring for me to see life’s paths cross this way, and gives me an unexpected opportunity to thank Matt as a respected peer and artist, and to acknowledge the longtime efforts of a couple of simultaneously occurring weirdos from Long Island. Cheers, old friend! Getting to perform together and being a fan of your journey reminds me how important it is to me that we are out here navigating this world with our instruments. Here’s to being a couple of weirdos in Brooklyn, fighting and surviving each day to entertain NYC and beyond. And thank you to everyone along our paths, for shaping, fueling, and supporting this weirdness. 😉
Go check out Matt Dallow Music and be sure to tip the accordion man when ya see him!
